Grants of up to $1,000 are being offered as part of the Charles Sturt University (CSU) 2020 Community-University Partnership program from March 9 to April 6.

Recipients in 2019 included St Joseph’s Regional College, St Josephs Primary School, Zonta Club of Port Macquarie, Kendall Tennis, Hastings Public School and Wauchope Public School.

CSU director of industry and community engagement, Associate Professor Laura Dan said CSU is looking forward to seeing the first round of applications.

“In 2019, the CUP Grants program received its largest number of applications and awarded more than $120,000 to 120 different groups and individuals,” she said.

“It has been wonderful to hear about and see the valuable impact these grants have had for CUP Grant recipients in our regional communities.

“If you know an organisation, sporting club, community group or individual in our region that is doing great work within the community and needs some financial support, I encourage you to tell them about the CUP Grants because they are a fantastic initiative.”

Other sponsored groups in 2019 were Nautilus Senior College, Lake Cathie Touch Football, Beechwood Primary School and Port Macquarie Cycling Club among others.
