Chamber wants the business voice to be heard in Council’s current consultation on CBD parking issues. Chamber Executive Officer, Liesa Davies, says “This is just the first step. Chamber continues to encourage Council to undertake a detailed assessment of requirements and develop a holistic and long-term strategy." Notwithstanding the presentation of our own survey results and CBD Parking Policy to Council late last year, Chamber is encouraging members to complete Council’s on-line community survey by 3 September.
“Local business needs to ensure their views are included – not only as workers requiring parking in the CBD, but as representatives who are well informed on the issues faced by customers when visiting the CBD,” said Ms Davies. Additional comment on the survey matters is also welcome to executive@portchamber.com.au.
